Freelander 2 (LR2) Where is the large heater/glow plug relay on a 2008 fr2

I am having problems with cold starting and I have been told if I locate the relay with the four wires coming out which go to the glow plugs I can test the plugs by using the connecting wires. Thanks

Just measure the glow plug resistance. They should measure about 0.8 to 1 Ohm.

That is why I need to find the big relay so I can measure the resistance down the feed wires to the glow plugs as I cannot get to 2 3 4 plugs with the manifold on.

Hi I have a2008 freelander 2 and l have searched the entire care for that relay the only one l can find is in the fuse box f1 fuse and relay 4 seems to have something to do with it the four wires from the glow plugs merges into one wire about a 30 cm in the harness going over the starter motor and as far has l can tell go straight to the fuses box the Haynes manual states that glowplug relay was only fitted to 2012 freelander 2 onwards it does not help when Ebay sellers say that hat they have one to fit my car if you do change the glow plugs make sure they are 11v because l was sold some for my registration and they was only 5v hope something l said helps you

Same as mate I ended up buying one only fit 2011 onwards
