I do all my own stuff, but there was a good place at RCV/DCV in Kirk Sandall .. they sorted a diff out for me many years ago, but they've changed hands a couple of times since I believe so I can't really vouch for them other than they usually have all the bits in, good stocks and a good, well-equipped workshop. https://www.facebook.com/Doncaster-Country-Vehicles-542840245795503/
They have gone now. shame that, i would do my own i just havent got the tools any more had them stolen years ago this is one of the reasons i sold my old classic, lost heart in it after the break in. Its the new wife that has got me back in to 4x4 again. Ive had the one i have now for 3 weeks and changed the engine oil plus filter, and checked all the oils ie gearbox, transfer box, diff,s; and just done the steering box today. discs next, whats a real good disc to buy, thought about Brembo and thanks for the quick reply

Ah, sorry, didn't know they'd gone, I only live round the corner from them!

I just buy cheap discs .. but I use mine off-road a lot and through mud and water so treat discs/pads/wheel bearings etc as almost disposables .. so long as the discs last a couple of years that's OK by me. Same with oils and filters and stuff, buy it cheap, change 'em more regularly than usual .. :)

just been to LVB at armthorpe they used to work there and set up on there own i think. chris is there from the old place.top lads treat to meet some straight talking lads and there prices are good i priced disc,s 74.00 for front and there the ones that ld put on there,s so chuffed, i also got talking to them about toque converters and output shaft bearings. they sent me to S&D near netto,s Daz his name is. another top lad. he is a ZF fitter he fits all straths gear stuff.and told me all about noise,s.. he put my rangy on a machine while i was there it took 2 mins and told me exactly what my problem was. toque converter. i was so sure it was the output bearing. he said he would do it for me. hes taking the gearbox off and the transfer box off and he,ll change my oil and filter,s change and balance the toque converter for £700 + vat a new converter not recondition. so i think thats good.you say you just around the corner from the old place ill have to call round one day for a chat. phil
