You're not so bright, are you? General Tires are an American company. Where they are made is irrelevant, you asked why they are listed on their website and I suggested because they are only selling the AT2 in their home market (US) and the UHP in the UK. Jeez...

Mike there are several places selling them in the uk

Tyres Direct UK*::*4x4*::*General All Terrain

On there page they listed the at2

I know where general tire company is

But they sell the blasted tyres you ask about in the UK.Just do a search
I did

One would assume they are available from stock, all I am saying is my tyre guys tell me new AT2's are no longer coming into the UK. That's the extent of my knowledge/caring on the subject!!

Mikev8se - I have 16" wheel. The tyres are 255/65 R16 109T General Grabber AT . The AT2's are available all over the place. I had to search for ages to get the new AT's, in the end I found them in a small local company in Andover, they were about £110 each including fitting etc....

just a pity I'm now selling the car :-( oh well..

Cool, thanks. 255/65's look good! £110 each inc fitting is pretty darn cheap!!

Thanks for all the help and info my landie lovin friends, still trying to find some and got a few numbers to ring from some of the links you sent me, many thanks chaps for the chukkles you gave me when i read all the comments with the whit and banter between you all, GOD DAM THIS SITE is ace.....:D:pop2::clap2::hysterically_laughi

Bought 4 x 255/65 R16 General Grabber AT2's earlier this from Demon Tweeks, Macclesfield. Cost £340 for 4 plus £40 fitting.
They are a bit noisier but the p38 is well insulated inside the cabin so it is not intrusive. Good compromise for on road/off road without going over the top.

Take a chill pill mate some on here just like to hear the sound (?) of their own voices. If you cant find the tyres you want on google the chances are they aren't available. So look elsewhere If you are dead set on that tread pattern there was a link earlier in the thread to Event tyres that are making a clone or there's always insa turbo rangers.

Yea I'm freaking out now, anyway I'm getting a set of road tyres 2morrow so don't need the grabbers (£380 for a set of 4 all in)

Dopey,

The GG's are getting impossible to source. I switched to Toyo Open Country AT's. I can heartily recommend them so far. No tramlining, pretty good grip wet and dry and they're a good bit cheaper than the grabbers too. I've done over 5000 miles on them so far and they seem to be good for wear too.

What's wrong with the Event tyres I recommended earlier in the thread? Same tread patten as the AT2's you were after, and a lot cheaper...which is what you wanted?

Whats wrong with the new ATs. when the AT2 replaced the old AT everyone was tearing their hair out now they would all kill for AT2s. People dont like change do they.......
THey were introduced as being quieter than the AT2s is that a bad thing?

It all came down to price in the end, I'm skint, and these seem to be OK until i get a few ££ together
