When is my Timing Belt Chain Change ?

I have a TD4 Freelander 2003 - Can anyone tell me when the chain or belt needs changing mileage = 70250 - Also is it a belt or chain ?- soz for sound dumb not sure !!

I believe the TD4 is a timing chain and that doesn't need changing. Ready to be proved wrong.

'tis indeed a chain, and by the time it needs changing, the engine needs rebuilding anyway.

Ahh, so I were right then. On a Freebie the transmission would have exploded before the engine needs rebuilding.
