Wheels and tyres.

At the moment I have 215/75 r15 on mine but i'm looking to get up higher, to aviod under scuffing> Whats everyone else using off road. Whats the safest extreme anyone has tried. I believe disco wheels will fit without spring modification has anyone tried ??:doh: Are there better combinations with 16 or 17 " rims ??

As the wheel sizes decrease the wall size increases - so the speedo works with all the "normal" sized tyres.
Swapped my standard 255/55 R17 (26.7" Dia) for General grabber AT2 215/70 R16 (27.9" Dia), this increased the ground clearance but made the top gear in my auto into overdrive

215/80/15 or 205/80/16 is the tallest tyres youll fit without serious mods... Not the height that stops it but the distance front to back on wheel arch....

Dont know whose been tellin you that disco wheels will fit....Completely different wheel in many ways...more chance of platting fog.

Cheers doobreydog. What lift have you got ?? i've noticed yours a couple of times in the avatar> I was looking to get kit of celtic 4x4 but they have disapeared off the net !! does anyone else do one ?? regards john.

Mine is Celtic but Celtic no longer producing them.... not hard to knock up yourself.

Have a word with tornadomotorsport.co.uk as I believe he was going to make some to similar design failing that £££ Bearmach £££
