Hi there,

Iv got a 1999 Defender TD5 completely standard.

At the moment it is running on 112/110N 7.50 R16 Avon Range-master Tyres on standard steel rims.

Im looking at changing to 265/70R17 Cooper STT on 17" Silver Predator Alloys. Will these change my speedo and there for my miles on my clock?

Please give me your opinions thank you jeremy.

Loads of tyre size comparison sites, they will answer all your questions.;)

all i get on here is abuse of people. And I'm still getting use to the forum.

Who's abused you??? Ya gotta be thick skinned on ere. Oh and use a bit of thought before poasting. For instance do you think that there's a possibility that, someone else might have asked the self same question that you asked, before now??

As others have pointed out to you, there are many, many questions on here about tyre sizes, and this one has been asked many times. If we were to answer every tyre question that gets asked over and over again, there would be no time for taking the **** out of each other, and of noobs that can't work out what the search button is for. But in order to put you out of your misery, the two tyre sizes you are comparing, have less than a centimeter difference in diameter, therefore, there will be no noticeable difference in speedometer accuracy. Before you make any more posts, may I suggest you do some reading of the forum, and get to understand what it is like here. Amongst the **** taking and arse ripping, you will find that almost every Land Rover related question you can think of, has been asked and answered, and I doubt very much that you will find a more knowledgeable group of people on any other Land Rover forum.
