Discs are fcuked, he said I cleaned them up, like thats going to help.
Hes a fairy concerned with getting his hands dirty, note how he handled the halfshaft as he removed it, like he was tossing of a hamster, buy some rubber gloves, I mean what mech diy or otherwise doesnt have a box of gloves ready?
Nowheres near enough grease on them bearings and he didnt force enough into the cage between the rollers.
Then I got bored!

The point was, the OP asked about Td5 Bearings.

The vids show the difference.

Obviously , you want to pick holes, then carry on.. I give up talkign about it with you.

it want picking holes it was pointing out both bearing need setting the same and even with the spacer you still need to check
 
Just to clarify the rear wheel bearings on my motor are the newer type, fronts are adjustable which is what confused me. I've never seen these non-adjustable ones on any of the landrovers I've had. They are soon to be all adjustable! It's not a very practical design just having a spacer, it can't account for any wear meaning I would technically need to have a stock of different spacers to do it properly. Maybe it just makes it easier for them at the factory

the rear wheel bearings are adjustable by using different sized spacers,if you use timken bearings as replacements you usually find the old spacer is the correct one to give the right setting but still feel to make sure bearings are free to spin and dont have free play,othe bearing makes are often slightly different sized so need another spare selecting,it does just make assembly monkey proof if using timken bearings
 
I've done the driver side rear and passanger front on my td5 and binned the spacers.
When I do the other two I'm going to make them adjustable too

I did have a look at the Rave manual this morning, not overly helpful. It may as well just say "remove old wheel bearing and replace with new". Even the pictures are not that great. On only a few occasions have I found the Rave manuals at all helpful.

Its going to be mainly aimed at pro mechs with land rover experience, hence its sometimes vagueness.
Anything Im not sure about especially audi/vw door cards! Im onto to youtube for a refresher.
But mech problems you have to be a little more careful sifting between real and barstool mechs.
