Hi there
Am trying to replace rear wheel bearings on a V reg 1.8 Freelander, have undone the nut on the nut on the adjustable transverse link, according to the Haynes manual I need to undo the bolt on front transverse link, to me the bolt looks like one piece that runs through the bushes of both links, however I can not get the colt to push through the bushes on the links. Have tried to undo other end as manual suggests but it will not turn, I do not want to strip the head, do I just have to butcher it out and get new bolt and bushes for the links or am I doing somehting wrong?

Thanks:doh:

From memory it's one long 12 mm bolt.

Have you tried jacking the hub up about an inch or so and then letting it down slowly while trying to turn the bolt. You may find that it will move when you have taken the load off it.
