Wheel arch extentions

Ive noticed some series land rovers with defender wheel arch extentions and am wondering what it is like to graft a set to my series 3. Do i have to cut away any of the wheel arch? I know you can buy proper series extentions but prefer the defender shaped ones!!
Any of you done it to your landys??

just get some defender ones from the scrappy, line em up, mark the inside with a felt pen, take the arch away and set to with a jigsaw(not the puzzle type)

fix em on with self tappers or rivets

Yeah i had thought of that but wondered if there was a more calmer way i could do it without cutting the wheel arches coz when i get the jigsaw or grinder out i tend to break somthing that i dont wish to break!!! Rekon thats what ill have to do though.

you can stick them on with no nails, and not bother cutting the wheel arches at all.

Oh yeah i want to make a good job of it, you know. And i dont want to go down the road and they fall off!!!

They'd have to be from a Freelander to do that.

But they'd have to be fitted to a real Landy to get down the road
