of connecting a bodged exhaust.

Im going to remove both boxes and place a cherry bomb in with a side exit. now. ive got a 300tdi and it looks to be 2 1/4" the flexi ive got is 2 1/8".

so using reducers i can get over the size. now, how do i clamp the whole lot together?! the existing outfit has a flange and 2 plates. but the cherry bomb looks straight/clean (haven't bought it yet, undecided on length).

do i keep reducers/couplers on the inside and clamp over them?

do i use gungum to hold it together?

why are my exhaust hangers welded to my exhaust? was hoping to use these!

either way looks like im going to have to saw off the flange on the existing front section to couple the cherry to it.

thanks for your help.

got a twin stainless scorpion for mine, i am trying to work out how to get it to sit flush tight up against the rear bumper perfectly horizontal with 2 half moons out the underside of the rear bumper.
the best way i can think of is say a strip of 3mm stell bend round the box and welded then the rest of the strip used as the hanger and folded flush at the top with a 13mm connecting the strap and the under body.

I use those C clamp things (probably not they're proper name) got a C shaped bolt bit with threaded ends that goes into a clamp.... stuck a strip of metal under the two securing bolts on the clamp and then used that to secure the eggzorst to the mounting. for cheap joints i use a beer can and jubilee clips, or bash one pipe inside the other and use a C clamp to hold it together...... sorted

also, i find installing a net behind the landy a good idea, helps catch bit of zorst as they fall off down the road!! :D

You mean a U bolt?
