It depends what you want your winch for?
To sit there all shiney and nice and not use it?
Off road pay and play? Just incase or you trying winch challenge stuff?
I have a warn xd9000 in the back of mine, Albright copy solinoide and synthetic rope, it's been a good winch, fast for a low line winch,
I also have a warn 8274 with +3" thinner drum, bigger motor and synthetic rope, it's fast, and pulls hard,
If I was to build another off-roader I would consider a hydraulic winch. Would still have 1 electric tho incase the engibe dies.
