I run kuhmo kl71 235 85 16 which is the metric equivalent of 7.50x16 and they are nice on road and good offroad I used kuhmos in the UK during winter when London had bad snow a few years ago all around Croydon was cut off from the rest of London and we got through helping people etc
Anyone remember the 'Keep Land Rover British' campaign and rally at Battersea Park?

London was impassable as they had about half an inch of snow, and we had blasted through 6' snowdrifts to get there from the frozen North!

Soft southern buggers! :D :D :D

I had some Avon ice touring tyres on my civic past few winters and they were ace. Slightly softer rubber so they don't go hard in the cold (more silica in the mix) and lots of small wavy grooves cut in the blocks to enable to tyre to squirm and get more grip then a large open tread pattern to keep the tyre clear of compacted snow. They were the same size as my normal summer tyres but really noticeably different in the snow. They were excellent.

If I got some more again on m road car I would deffo get proper mud and snow rated ones, they were amazing

so..... do I get some insa turbos for the snow or some wintrac 4's(the larger 4x4 version of what I have on my audi)? I like playing in the deepest snow I can find :) but I still need it to be grippy in all snowy conditions

insa turbo winter grip was ace for the car (leon) last year.. don't know about a landy though

check out cooper web site as to there ratings. But Cooper ATR/AT3 are damn good on snow and hard pack snow, not bad on ice but nothing is good on ice unless you got chains on. We get a heck of alot more snow in Northern michigan than you lot in the UK Nov-April is our snow season and average 8-10' in our area. Just slow down and don't drive stupid
