L322 What to watch out for

It has had a slight wing modification since the photo, needs a bit of tidying and it has a turbo issue i am trying to resolve and yes it is on my drive and my 4.4 gets very jealous - I am not joking either.
Just a thought - I am quite happy to list out everything I know that is wrong with it, what I do know and what i don't know.
The guy who owns it owes a lot of money on his loan and could be tempted to pay a chunk of it off, he paid £8000 + last year, you never know, it's not on HP or anything like that, he keeps thinking he will sell it and then drives it and wants to keep it again....
 
Before you go to far, what do you think it's worth? With the turbo fixed, minor issues I don't mind, if it needs a wing, that doesn't faze me neither

I think he would like the figure to start with a 5, realistically I think it will start with a 4 as he has already paid around £1800 since he has had it but on stupid stuff like he lost the key and had to have it taken on a lorry to the main dealer, new injector loom, new battery, turbo bits and pieces....

Here is the upgraded wing, if it was mine I would have the front bumper painted, rear bumper corner slight scuff, the drivers seat switch panel i would repair or replace, hill descent switch needs replacing, front passenger side electric window switch cover broken but works, one rear caliper has just started sticking that i need to strip and investigate, the handbrake needs adjusting, it needs a good valet, rear tailgate struts although i think I have a couple, spare wheel is an 18 " i think, TV - i haven't tried to tune, rear camera i have never tried but I am not sure if it works, ...... Did I say a couple of issues, but it is a 2006 genuine face lift .......

Engine starts on the button but turbo is over boosting under heavy load uphill which i am looking at, suspension is good

Sounds like the one you looked at was better !!
 
oh, I think it has a diesel leak but not certain, i will investigate further when i am under looking at the turbo, drivers door mirror doesn't power fold and if it was mine i would replace it, you can be too honest i guess :)
 
Near Rochester in Kent

Turbo had sticking variable geometry vanes so i stripped and cleaned it and actuator now works fine but still goes into limp under heavy acceleration up one particular hill.

I have replaced the MAP, the actuator solenoid, the reservoir, the pipes, my next step is to clean the MAF and I am going to calibrate the actuator arm as if i disconnect the vacuum pipe which allows the actuator to relax fully it doesn't over boost but you lose low end until the turbo spools up so i think the actuator arm needs calibrating so i will get back to you with an update and i'll try and think of anything else that is wrong with it but it is in my way :)
