what the hell do i do with this predicament

i have the chance to get me hands on a project series 3 by the looks of it and the ammount of rivvets i can count it looks to be early seventies but has no v5 or reg plates

how the hell would i go about getting the original reg details from the dvla providing i can find the chassis number under all the muck sh1t and underseal

if i cant find the vin number is there any other means of finding a possible id on the vehicle considering its still running the original 10j derv engine

if i cannot find the original stamps or id will it have to go on a fookin Q plate if it does ill have to leave it alone wich is a shame as shes just screaming out john get me i promise ill be good if you sort me out :cool::cool::cool:
 
V5 and plates are probably on a 90 somewhere.

i'd steer well clear, if you want a series project there are plenty around with the id's in tact.
 
this landy looks evry bit to be an old farm worker that has never been bothered with registration the owner reccons hes used it this way for the last 5 years and inherited it from his grandfather when he leaft the farm to his dad apparantly the landy has always been there and looks honest as the day is long

its original allright evrything tallys up perfect battlescars to what its been used for and how long engine hasnt been messed with its just banged up to hell and back duct tape seat covers n grindy whiney gearbox

im not trying to get it as just a project for me but as a hobby thing to do with me 3 yr old daughter as shes already helped me rebuild me trailer a motorbike and helped with this micra we rescued from a premature date with the crusher for a failed head gasket

itll also help keep her occupied and out the way when baby comes so the missus can atleast get baby to sleep and get some kipp herself without us 2 being in the way

plus im the only member in our local landy club without me own landy and would be great to get her into that aswell :D:D:D
 
You looked for chassis no.? On front dumbiron if it's not bin replaced or rusted away and should be able to see engine number. Gi's a shout if ya need another pair of eyes to look at it or help to shift it to yours.

cheers fella ill give yer a shout if i struggle just a quick note do yer reccon a 2ltr mondeo will pull a series 3 swb on an industrial towing dolly or a frame :eek::eek::eek:

ahh its not exactly like the time me and a mate towed a 25 foot yacht on a rotten trailer behind a g reg vauxhall carlton from glassden dock to rochdale **** me that was frightning the clutch was smokeing its tits off when we got it back :D:D:D
