Hi Mates,

I have this part which might be related to the timing cover or housing, seems like its a guide with a shoulder, do you know whats its for and where it goes?

I have looked at the manuals and cant seem to find it.

Thanks Mates.

It looks like a bushing that would go inside a rubber anti-vibration mount type of affair to stop the bolt crushing the mount. It does look familiar but struggling to think where (or even if it is Landy related)

nearest thing on a 300 i can think of is injection pump rear support bracket, they are 2 that the bolts locate through, but unlikely to just drop out

re doing great. Yes it seems like a bushing insert, part of it is clean as you can see in the pic which suggests that there is rubber is around that part which moves.

Thanks for your reply, always helpful as usual.

Hi James, great hearing from you guys again, you guys are this forums priceless supporters. I looked at the bracket but it has tightly fitted bushings but without a shoulder/flange.
This looks like a bushing as Quakerman suggested, it looks as though a washer and a bolt was on it.

I usually get lots of plastic bags, pans, trays and other storage items available when I pull apart anything especially engines. I would label all the bags and make notes but this time I was a bit out of focus. I did put some stuff together and separately when needed. This Bushing was with the timing components, with timing cover bolts etc but i do no t think its related to anything to do with timing.
I have attached a pic of my IP bracket.

Thanks for your reply and efforts.
Cheers.

Thanks James. I am scratching my head over this one. I have rebuilt the most of the engine over a year now and now getting back to it. I went with my own turbo and manifold arrangement, had to machine turbo adapter flanges and a host of other things which took time, so I lost memory on where that part if from.

It was in the pan with timing case and timing cover bolts, pulleys etc., that why I kept looking in that vicinity in the manual.

Thanks.
