Hi
I have a freelander 1 facelift 2004 model and am looking to connect my iPhone to the stereo for the music. I've done some searching and come up with a part that might work but I haven't idea what model stereo I have, it's not mentioned in the manuals. So without taking the dash apart and pulling the stereo out and looking at the back can anyone tell me what I have?
It's a single cd factory fitted stereo. 2004 diesel model

I found this.....

The OEM iPod kit comprises of an interface to allow direct connection from an iPod to Land Rover fitted with Blaupunkt, VDO BP9262 Single CD/22DC597 C42 (BMW Block) Only suitable for vehicles with BMW style wiring connector.

Land Rover Freelander (upto 2003)
Land Rover Discovery (upto 2003)

Many thanks
Steve

Try looking for one for sale on e bay that matches yours - had a quick look and the first I found was an Alpine

There's only 2 for sale on eBay. One says its alpine which is different to mine

The other is the same as mine but they don't list who made it

Standard freelander stereo=crap simples!
Be aware that being in the hippo bit makes you fair game for sarcasm, abuse, gayness, brainless etc. There are some days when this rule in relaxed, see thread.

Don't go off on 1 early doors, intro yourself and get into the forum thing. I'd go to anything goes if I were you. I'm not tho so-I love my pre-facelift Kalaheri TD4 auto. It's not perfect, but uses a lot less fuel than my 4.6 Rangy did so that's a big plus, and having fitted aftermarket Blaupunkt DAB stuff with decent wies, speakers etc have now got something near OK?

As I keep mentioning, mines a K series... Difference is, I have a sense of humour unlike a significant proportion of noobs. :-@ x

I have a sense of humour but the fact you don't know me from Adam and I dont know you, makes you sound arrogant and up yourself.
Sarcasm should be reserved for friends or people you know well.
I asked a simple question as I assumed this a place to do so but instead get some cocky guy trying to be funny.

Ok, with all due respect, have a look around the forum.

Landyzone isn't like other fora, banter and Mickey - taking are what makes it what it is

New members who post crap (for want of a better term), without taking the five or ten minutes to acquaint themselves with the character of this forum and then decide to throw a tantrum when they don't receive the reply they are looking for ought to fook orf ... :welcome2: ;)

Apologies for the lack of punctuation...
