Tempted by a couple of local land rovers and trying to weigh up the pros and cons. It's not a main vehicle so need not be fully practical, but I do like the genuine station wagons.
Option 1 is a nice original 109 safari. I have owned a series 2a in the past so I know the limitations and ride quality. The maintainability and parts cost appeals, as does the classic charm.
Option 2 is a 110 bit rough high miler. I have also owned a 90 in the past and have a 110 van project already. The coil spring ride and power steering makes it more usable but the electrics are more complicated and parts are more expensive.
Both have mot and tax, good chassis but need interiors tidying, which is my idea of a fun project.
Maybe this is a matter of choice but interested to get views from both camps.
