Got an 03 td4 and getting only about 29-30mpg knocking around. Wondered whether this was the norm. What are you guys getting out of yours?????

on a run will get 40 mpg around town around 30 ish

if u stick ur foot down will go into its 20 s

that's with a new bosch maf and a synergy box fitted

Driving normally (mostly sensible with the odd heavy right foot moment) I'm getting about 30mpg. 7 miles to work, mostly 30-40 mph limits with a short run down a carriageway.

Around 33-35 usually, but I do have a really light right foot. Easily 40+ on a good run. Not much difference if using the super duper BP or Shell stuff, but it does seem to run a lot smoother.

Regularly get 400 miles per tank. What's that equate to in mpg ?
Once got around 600 miles to the tank going on holiday using both motorways, A roads and short journeys.

Not TD4, but I've just done 1,500KMs through the mountains of the South Island NZ with 5 people and our luggage in my L Series. Lots of gear changes over mountain passes etc up to well over 3,000ft. Got 37MPG avg. Not to shabby - very pleased with that.

My overall average is 31mpg. It's in the low side as I used it to drive around South London. Regularly got around 25mpg from my Td4 auto. Best long run was a tad over 41mpg. Generally get mid 30's on a run. But mine is now remapped and I have bigger tyres which skews the figures.

30.8 mpg

if I remember correctly it's a 13 gallon tank ???

Between 28-31 for me, haven't had it long and there's a few things on my list that will hopefully improve it a little, change PCC filter, egr and check maf sensor.
When I get the time to do these I'll post back with any (hopefully) improvements

always wanted to get one of those scangauge units but as mine is a 2002 it's not obd ll compliant so won't work as that would have been good ,

could have altered the synergy box and adjusted it accordingly to what the mpg monitor said

wonder if the hawkeye units would ever incorporate a mpg monitor seeing it's 100% readings

Sounds about average. I know when we went on holiday with motorway work it was around 40, but quite surprised at 29-30. Ive done air filter, crankcase breather to BMW part and EGR delete mod. Maybe look at maf at some point but doesn't sound like its too far off the norm

Contemplating fitting a Synergy 2 but a mate reckons a remap is a better way to go? Anyone gone down the remap route? Or do folks reckon the Synergy is the way to go.
