What is this?

Afternoon all,

Clearly this part needs replacing, but I don’t know what it’s called to find the part online. It’s just the bit that goes around the battery terminal. Quite new to all this, need to learn the names of everything the breaks!

Searching for a battery terminal clamp or battery cable clamp should suffice

I wouldn't stress too much, we were all new once.

You are nearly there. add the word clamp and search Battery terminal clamp, stop in at halfords am sure they will have some.

A good jubilee clip would get you by for a while .

Yours are not standard as the terminal clamp is no crimped to the cable, instead the cable has ring terminals and the battery clamp has a bolt for these to attach to. This is a good thing as far as I am concerned but means you are not just looking for a standard battery terminal. I have just fitted these to my rebuild LINK and are the same style as you have but you would need to check the size of the ring terminals on the cables to make sure it will fit the bolt.
