My first post! I started fiddling.... Cleaned the earthing lug behind the battery (as I had experienced a few intermittent cut outs immediately after starting), cleaned out the boot, reorganised my tool box and did my tyre pressure. Checked oil as well.

I took the 90 for its MOT ...........and it passed!!
ok a little advisory for the O/S front wheel bearing. something to do in the next few weeks when I get bored.

Happy days.
Cheers

Replaced the front door seals/rubbers. Oil, filters and rocker cover gasket change. Topped up the clutch fluid and coolant too. A productive couple of hours :)

I went to buy a replacement indiicator lense as i managed to smash the other one. Only 58p. OH! and I bought £94.00 worth of Mud Flaps that I dreamt up whilst I was there.

Bought myself a run about so now I can take my Defender off the road for a couple of weeks and sort out a few jobs. The thought of not having my Defender as my daily makes my feel quiet sad.

Been finding holes all over the place this week. Slowly getting it all welded up. Even replacing the none existent sills with box section so I will hopefully have a solid truck by the end of the weekend. Then it'll just be plenty of cleaning and painting of the interior floor and waxoyl for underneath. I was only checking the condition after a few dips in the lake at yarwell. And have now opened a can of worms.

Took it to work today great fun in the light. Drove home in dark...ffs headlights useless, only speedo and temp gauge illuminated, oh besides the fuel light. Looks like the transfer box is dripping oil once warmed up. No heater or blowers or radio brilliant laugh.

Can't stand it anymore, leaks, locks, leaks; the thing locks me out, the thing doesn't lock - finally opens the door the thing's flooded, again; still raining.......

The new winch came today and son fitted it after work tonight but the power cable ( RED ) was to short to reach the battery so just to try the winch and wined the synthetic rope on the drum when i got home from work i connected a jump lead to the power cable and the winch worked fine but going to fit a relay to the battery as the jump lead at the battery end was getting hot, hoping to sort this tomorrow along with fitting the rear shocks and rear flexi brake pipe as we are going to kirton on saturday :D

Peeled off the 'Defender' badge on the front grille and replaced with Land Rover 90...oh and took it down some local easy lanes.
