Set out to adjust the wheel bearings only to find one of my rear discs was covered in gear oil so just adjusted the front wheel bearings as i need to get some better hub seals for the rear which i will do next weekend.

then we moved onto replacing the steering rods with H/D ones we bought in the week inc new ball joints and a new drop arm / ball joint but struggled with removing the drop arm as it was solid even my 3 legged puller set wouldn't touch it ( kept slipping off ) so had to resort to not changing the drop arm but will try and do it next weekend after replacing the rear hub seals.

then decided to fit the new fuel solenoid which was a right pain to get to then after replacing it found the new one leaking badly but think i hadn't tightend it up properly by this time it was too cold so will have another look at it tomorrow before i go to work.

so a ####in sh1t day really

Bought 2 new genuine landy rear hub seals today to do the rear hub seals this weekend aswell as a new 4.5" angle grinder and some cutting discs to sort the drop arm out and fit the new one :)

towed 2 cars back to the yard and pulled a dead 3 ton forklift out the way in the yard. quite glad the new lift pump and clean sedimentor has seemed to have solved the running issue

What have I done with my Land-Rover today?

Well I never want to deal with a heater control cable in a RRC ever. EVER. AGAIN.

I also started someones 300TDi Discovery for them with the battery from my RRC. :)

For the Disco 300tdi Ordered a new battery (Tayna) new fuel lines to bypass sediment filter new fuel filter new lift pump new glow plugs .

You will start on first flick of key Oh yes!

Having oil pressure problems :( Got a disco 200tdi in my 90 that has begun to burn oil, white/blue smoke upon startup, runs rough until it warms up a little.

After a drive down the motorway for 15-20 mins getting everything suitably warm, when I let the engine run at idle through coasting or being still at a junction the oil pressure light will flicker or stay solid, this happens for a while but soon goes. Relaxed driving tends to reduce its effect.

I've got 10w40 oil in her, is this too thin? and this could be causing the problem? or is it just a leak in the head somewhere that increases when its warm? Any ideas would be appreciated, cheers adam

Fitted a new turbo to air box hose n put airbox back on, in the snow! N then went for a little drive in her
