Scraped the ice off the inside of the windscreen! After just returning from Oz where temps a tad on the warmish side its come as a bit of a shock. Got to sort those leaking door seals out. Puddles on mats frozen enough for skating on.

Ordered the led flasher unit and front led side lights. Pictures to follow after fitment.

Fabricating the replacement dash unit still ongoing, only salvageable part was the top edge fascia.

Cut and placed a piece of reinforced marine ply in the load bay area of bogey. Once it's bolted down it should give a fairly secure storage space underneath with some cover from the elements

Nearly finished one of the dash end caps. Other cut out ready to fold the edges tomorrow. Just got to make the three bottom tray sections then ready to spot weld on.

What's thee making?

I bought an old series 2 bulkhead to rebuild to eventually replace mine. The top section, the centre firewall were the only decent bits left on it but for £25 was not complaining.
Got new foot wells and door pillars but the dash part was Swiss cheese, only good bit is the top edge fascia so I decided to make a new one from scratch.

Taking a while, and only have a garage with usual home mechanic tools. My folding machine is a bench vice, two long pieces of thick angle iron in the jaws to increase length and hammers!
Having fun and satisfying when it all works out :)

Still to do n/s foot well and pillar and also to lengthen the centre to fit around the v8 :D

Did some research on the pump I need, 30-38psi with a 36psi pump being the sweet spot

Also reckon I might be able to get the new V8 in this weekend, planning on taking off the loose bits like water pump, rocker covers, dizzy, manifold, starter and remove gearbox bolts then yank it out on saturday with rob, if we're quick enough should be able to drop the new one in too :D might not be able to get it all wired up but should at least be able to drop it onto the engine mounts

Made up a new rear headlining from some 3mm foam & speaker box carpet/felt. Looks pretty good! No more condensation in the back now :D

Fitted a heater in the back ready to be wired up to my new dash.

Gave it a dirty great kick because the handbreak cable is the earth now...

got two free fuel pumps, need to work out if they're high pressure ones or not and build myself a swirl tank, may make it a decent side so that it essentially turns into a twin tank sizes system, got plenty of room under the passenger seat

Whats a swirl tank? ?

Stops the fuel becoming aerated upon return

Its coming back into the main tank at 30psi or more, most EFI tanks will have one built in but because I'm using a carb tank mine wont so essentially you just need a second tank, one for high pressure fuel which allows it to cool and is then pumped into a second tank under low pressure before going to the engine

Well, Once received my paddocks order.
I fitted my ss mid silencer replacement pipe, It sounds much better.
But will sound even better once i get the S**t standard back box of and replace it with a straight though pipe.

Also sanded down and painted front and rear radius arms and panhard rod ready for my new bushes to go in. ( Only genuine :)
