holy frick chris haha, good job youre safe. and there was me thinking youd lost a lining from a pad haha.

im assuming that youve torqued them up all to F tight

All bolts are now F T yeah um very lucky to be alive still. Had loads of play in swivels tightened them right up again so jobs a Gooding with that.

No 1.40 wasnt bad but the 15 quid in fuel to get to the stealers in my dads range rover wqs annoying.

HI Discomiky, Just as a matter of interest how long does it take to remove a bulkhead?
Mine is fine but I have heard that this is a weakness on them. I still have to fit my footwells which I have put off due to the cold weather.

depends on the model, how much your stripping and what the state of the wiring is.

i completely stripped Brian and it was one of the last things to come off.

whats needed is the wings need to come off (30 mins max)
floor panels and tunnel come out (again 30 mins max)
disconnect the steering (10 mins max) easy enough to do
support it with some sort of crane/lift (5 mins)
undo the support brackets, i undid from chassis as it seemed easier (5 mins)
unbolt windscreen and prop out way (30 mins max depending on how you do it)
disconnect wiring
undo the main outrigger bolts (5 mins max)
brake lines + clutch (5 mins)

lift free very carefully

i may have missed something, its not too hard but can seem a bit daunting i would put aside half a day from a fully built landy cos bolts can be siezed etc. i stripped Brian down to a bare rolling chassis in 13 hours but i was on a mission and nothing was siezed cos i had rebuilt him not too long ago.

Tim fry land rovers in Cheltenham. Theyre my recommendation, they prices are reasonable for the expertise. got a second hand breakers and a new parts show room, you name it and theyll have it in by the next day at the latest. Tim fry is a family friend as well so that helps :D or for general parts go to TH White in Wooten Bassett .
