checked it was still there, had a police officer knocking on my door, spoke to my son to say that one of my lovely neighbours has complained to them about me parking it in my own driveway!! my drive has to allow access to peoples houses at the rear, which i have made sure it does and I've also made sure my lovely neighbours can get their bloody bins down the side of it (although some have been catching the wheel arch cos theyre **** at pulling bins about!) needless to say the police officer looked very sheepish and said he couldnt do anything about it, what a total waste of feckin police time!!! n what peed me off was that no one had the balls to say anything to my face!

I've been fiddling with my exhaust pipe in between showers. There's a lot to undo. Swapping the downpipe alone requires the removal of not only the crossmember but also the front anti roll bar. Not one of those nuts and bolts did me a favour. Most of them need to be actually undone rather than ground off, because of their situation. All back together with nice new ones and plenty of grease. I'm now renewed back as far as the main silencer. When it gets light I shall try and work out how to get the tail pipe over the rear axle. I shall jack up the back and let the axle dangle, which might give me enough room.

All done. I've also cleaned up the engine bay and cleaned the mud out of the footwells too. Been for a run and listened to the new exhaust note, as well as all the different rattles and vibrations, and smelt the new hot smells.

Welded (badly. Still new at this) my silence back on and had to make a new join, was previously welded together by previous owner. Pleased with this as I used sheet steel, I bent it round an axle stand support

Fixed the Drivers door lock on my Disco.
Its alway been a bit iffy but today it was worse than ever so I took the door card off to have a look.
The end of the lock barrel had a crack in the end.
Luckily Im a bit of a hoarder and had some old Montego locks kicking around,
Stripped one down and stripped the barrel and swapped all the orignal disco bits over and now a perfect working lock to the original key.

Fitted new rubber mounts to the air suspension compressor ........ Silence at last, next job fit the new bonnet release catch
