managed to sort the wiper problems (cheers ratty ;)) bad connection in the block connector :(.
then had the ball breaking job of putting the dash all back together (why to they make it so ****ing hard work

Just collected some unused "new" part's which I got off ebay, reckon I've saved about £35 on what it would have cost from an online retailer. Just need the rain to do one so that I can fit them:doh:

Today has been a strange day, all of a sudden my nearside brake disc shield decided to bend and cause all sorts of horrible noises so had to roadside repair it (aka rip it off).

Then it decides to flash its hazards when unlocking, never done this since i've had it!

My power steering pump seems to have quietened down a tad too for some reason lol

its not good paul lol , was gonna go play this weekend 2 , and its harleys birthday this weekend :(

Dont worry mate, Landys are cheap as chips to fix!

I'm always buying little bits and bobs for mine, spent £15 the other day on brass bleed screws for the thermostat housing, new thermostat, new rad cap etc

Lift pump next, another £25 lol

did some more welderising. think its enuff for MOT - we will see .

Finished (I bloody hope) the welderising on the green machine for the MOT (answer in a week or so) and schultzed over the patches.. on to the next list of jobs :(.

Failed MOT - again! Took it in back in June - failed on wheel bearing, drop arm and brake lights. Fixed them...but outwith 10 day re-test period. Was pretty busy over the rest of the "summer" so only now had time to try again. The new wheel bearing has shown up the play in the upper swivel pin! Also 2 small sections needing welding - that'll teach me not to power-wash the underside! lol
Anyway...given that it is a 1984 110 does anybody know if it is a single gasket that I need for the swivel pins...or a series of shims?
Cheers....

Ok...quick look this am, and yes, I have shims (2) on the top. Guess I'll order the four shown on the parts list....
So...before I head to Dublin for a w/e infusion of Vit G...is it possible to remove/replace the top housing and bush (frc2916) without stripping down the entire swivel housing? I really...really...would rather not have to remove it....having noted the condition of the retaining bolts!
Cheers...
