took mine on a proper outing down to sainsburys and back.
Cut out some rot from the rear cross member and welded in a shiny new section. Laughed at the "patches" I welded on for the MOT this time last year. It's fair to say the cross member is on it's way out - whether this is the last year I can get it through the MOT remains to be seen...
Cheers for that - yeah, I've heard good things about MIB. I considered taking it to them last year... and this year... maybe next year? I'm confident it'll get through this time - there was only one bad bit, right in the middle. It's clearly rotting from the inside out, so it'll just keep disolving until I replace the whole thing.Sounds ominous ... did mine last year as it was like apple crumble! ... When you do have to get a new one I can highly recommend MibComponents in Warwick for a rear 1/4 chassis ... hand made and fit perfectly. No I'm not on commission ... hope you get it through this year first though
Used mine to collect a wood burner from Devon ...
Yup. Gotta admit that the standard heater is pretty crap
Kinda closing the door after the cuddy has bolted, but.
As in any electric type fault, you should always give everything a wiggle just on the off-chance. Plugs and connectors gets dirty, wires and relays come loose etc. Especially if everything had been ok up until fault showed up.
