Replaced the coolant bleed screw on my TD5 disco.
The old one's head snapped off - leaving the thread in the hole!
Needed delicate use of a 1mm drill and a watchmakers screwdriver.
Great fun!

Looked at the sills .. oops!

Passenger side OK, drivers side rotten. Ah well, getting some 100x60 box section for nowt so going to make box section sills then possibly rocksliders later.

Noticed that she has been losing coolant, no heating issue's, mayo under cap or obvious sign of crystals ... checked all hose's, only found 1 suspected leak point where jubilee clip was not tight, hopefully she'll be ok now...

Whilst underneath I found a body mount that developed a hole when I poked it:doh: & there's a new oil leak

I didn't do nuffink to mine. The plan wast to clean out one of my pond filters and then fit a new hose clip as I have a spring one that leaks. I ended up having to temporarily repair the pipe to the outside tap where the ballast decided to leave the pipe full of water over winter. This is the 3rd time she's done it now. I wouldn't mind but we have a tap inside to isolate the outside tap. All she has to do is leave the outside tap on and turn off the inside tap. Useless feckin bint.:mad::mad:

removed and cleaned out the intercooler (loads of black crap came out) while waiting for it to dry, removed the centre console, radio etc found the feckin' wire that was shortin out, replaced it and now have a working clock, radio and cigrette lighter aswell as a nice clean intercooler:p

greased the props on the disco & 90
started takin bits off inside me scrapper disco......took ages because i had to unload bits from me mates scrapped disco wot were inside it:doh:
