Called my Disco all sorts of names and began to worry if there's something wrong with it - it's taking longer and longer to start when cold. 30 secs turning over this morning - runs fine once it catches.

Leak-off pipes. Little fabric covered pipes between injectors. They get hard and brittle and crack, which lets air into the system. They're only a push fit (3.2mm ID, IIRC) and you can get generic leak-off pipe from a motor factor by the metre very cheaply ..

Passed the M.O.T well failed mot at 1000 but after changing all the pads passed the 1500 one with no advisorys

Found out that 2nd batterys dont charge if the wire that triggers the split charge relay aint connected.

Finished of putting in the new steering box , second hand steering pump, new belt . took it for a run an all is well. Just the fog lamp earthing prob to sort.

I think the latest ones are well protected - you need to find someone with a previous version where it's easy to get around the copy protection.
