Nothing too bad. Pretty much all surface rust and the metal is solid.
This rust converter stuff is runny as ****. Just like the job I’m doing lol.

Maybe. I put quite a bit of pressure on it and none of it caved. It’s almost like the previous owner had caked an inch of paint on it.Some of that looks deeper than surface rust
As the iron collects oxygen it increases in mass and can create, what appears, to be a sturdy structure. It's nothing like the original metal though. Also, it's probably so porous that the rust inhibitor will not be able to get in and around all of it. Even if it is very runny.Maybe. I put quite a bit of pressure on it and none of it caved. There’s a patched bit right of the accelerator too. Seems mostly fine. Some does look kinda deep and there is a small hole, still seems pretty sturdy.
Bit far away but got a 90 onePerused Defender roof racks for sale online.

Going to fit the rear one next week hopefully if th D2's water pump does not need doing.

Fat spring onions those. Ours don’t get so fat, probably due to the extreme cold.Fitted my new stereo today and removed the birds nest of old speaker wires and surplus cabling. Where there were spring onions there is now a conduit to Classic FM View attachment 170215
