Good looking nicnic there @Hicap phill
Had a squeak.
Loose steering drop arm.2 minute job.
Re check & spot panard rod bush will need replacing soon.
Now do people use metalastic or poly bush type?
Then took it to get the wheels re-balanced.
Long strips of the adhesive backed stuff on the inside and other large lumps clipped to the rim. Cost £6.00 per wheel so I reckon I got my monies worth. That's what they were like before, but I'd found a flat weight on the drive so decided to get them redone. Cleaned them so the stood the best chance of sticking when redone. How much lead did they use? I reckon mine cost more in the scrap price of lead than they charged to do the job.
Cheers
Took front wheels off and scrubbed inside of alloys with hot soapy water until they looked like new. While the wheels were of I exercised the caliper pistons and put a smear of copperslip where the pad holes rub on the pins. Then took it to get the wheels re-balanced.
Do you not get a bit of wheel wobble?I don't bother balancing mine, they're Extreme pattern re-treads so not really worth it .. but the cleaning of the insides and working of the calipers etc is something I always do when I get an odd 1/2 hour or so. Had enough brake 'experiences' to try and overcome them before they happen now ..
Do you not get a bit of wheel wobble?
