Finished refurbing the rear suspension 
Didn't have a press so just drilled out the old rubber bushes and cut through the outer shell with a hacksaw. The new ones are superpro poly bushes which didn't need pressing in as they were split in half. Should fix the wayward handling.

Finished refurbing the rear suspension
I've put Superpros on mine about two and a half years ago. All seems well so far, and they've outlasted their 36,000 mile guarantee. Plus when they do go, replacement will be nice and easy.

I did the front about a year ago now when I spotted the panhard rod bushes were very worn- did the radius arms while I was at it- so I had the bushes for the rear sitting in the garage waiting to fit. The old trailing arm bushes had quite a lot of play in them so I suspect the rear axle was steering itself around corners.
It does make the Landy look smarter somehow with nice shiny new bolts

Blinded myself by putting in rdx carling switches with blue led. So bloody bright they burn out the legend I've no idea what is what at night!

Got my central locking working.
Finished welding up the rear cassis on my 300tdi, 6 area's cut out and new metal back in.
It's been a long slog between breaks in the rain/wind, work out in the road.
Tomorrow (weather permitting) I'll refit the springs and shocks and she's back on the road.

Was planning on replacing the propshaft bolts on my 90 today only to find out that the bloody company sent the wrong fecking bolts, then realising that the so called propshaft nut removal tool is no more helpful or useful than a socket with an extension. Then the handle I bought for my Anderson connector came with bolts too short despite both being genuine Anderson items!
To top it all of some cheeky ****bag working on my parents garage (where my landy is stored) has used ALL my remaining Sikaflex and broke my sealant gun in the process.
Not been a good day!!!

I did my first ever oil change at the weekend, and changed the oil and fuel filters too.
I know I'm probably imagining it, but I'm sure it was running smoother and quieter this morning

As suspected, discovered a split boost diaphragm on my 90's fuel pump. Which will be why it's been struggling on hills. Now to source a new one...

I've just come back from Wales where I've been making shed doors and mending my friend's Land Rover. Here I am all loaded up with wood ready to go:
Here's the side ripped off the shed ready. I forgot to take a picture before I started.
And from inside the shed:
And here's the doors:
I wonder if I've rather over-engineered it where those hinges are concerned? I do like substantial door furniture.
It wasn't all work. On Sunday afternoon we went out for a drive:
We went up the Elan valley and the reservoirs were overflowing after all the rain. It was like Victoria Falls:
Even the small reservoir at the top of the valley was producing quite a good waterfall:
