Not on landy but been to my local wickes today pricing up some timber for my mate to make me a 10' bench for my garage, was going to be 12' but have decided to have a move round and have room for fitting a log burner aswell at some point and will probably use a reclamation yard to buy the timber for the bench top :D

fitted my other 3 doors to replace the rotten ones. although they are a slightly darker blue than my ionian blue D1 it doesn't look too bad. still want to get them the right colour though. also managed to pick up the whole front end from a 200tdi so I can get mine back to what it should be. just need the time to get it all welded on the front of mine

Checked and topped up the oil levels ready for the long runs over the weekend.

Opened the packaging of my new doors and found that everything was there, including the door seals and nuts which I had expected to come by mail!

Spray gun should arrive today. :)

Finished work at lunchtime and thought I'd have a tinker with the electrics on my series.

It looks so simple in the book

Still can't get the headlights to work.

How come there are only a few wires in the book and ten thousand behind the dash

I need an electrician.

:(

Had the day off today to go to York and collect my tdci galvanised bulk head that has been adapted to fit a 200tdi
I was really happy until I took it to the paint shop and they said who ever has primed and sealed it wants shooting or beating to death with a ****ty stick!
the primer scratches off really easy and the sealer is soft as ****

oh well looks like I will be spending a few hours this weekend washing it down with thinners so i can see what lurks beneath

Great!
