Just been to Halfords for a new battery for 1989 TD

And following all the useful info on this thread just picked up their own brand,

12v 95Ah 800CCA with a three year guarantee.

Was £110 but with Tradecard paid £82 that 25% discount and a great battery for the motor at a fair price.

Thanks for all the useful tips on the other battery thread:tea:

Sod that just get an ali rad.. job done

Discomark, ive beeen reading up on the pros and cons wea radiators. I decided to get mine recored as it reads to be the better option. Not saying it is. But collected it 24 hours later and looks the business

To many stories about crap replacements, and some of the replacements we get at work are cheap crap

Time will tell

It depends what you do with the vehicle I suppose. . Mine always dips I n deep mud so need to be able to clean it out without it washing away

Did the rear axel rebuild after having it shot blasted
All painted and then spent 2 hrs trying to remember how to fit the new shoe
after getting ready to smash thd thing to bits I decided to walk away
no matter what I did the pads just bind
arrgh ffs

I must be doing it wrong

Finally fitted my hardtop after buying it almost a year ago, albeit not sprayed the right colour, half is primed and half is still trident green (apparently a rare colour) but just trying to get hold of some 2 pack hardener (not paying £15 for 500ml)
Before.
