tape the fecker up then
Finished the dual battery system albeit with a slight issue, changed the wiring so that the alarm is fed off either battery , fitted a new front wiper switch to the motor, moved the alarm siren, new front wiper blades and new rear washer pump albeit with another slight issue.
Should get the slight issues done tomorrow and a few more jobs.
Tape this molten mess up?
Ide fit a couple diodes on each wire if the batteries are split otherwise you might get drain.
diodes where? The batteries are disconnected from each other when the power goes down
Oh ok, that should be fine then, its only really if they are left with any cconnection. Is the alarm fed directly from the battery's or after where they are joined/disconnected?
Cant tell without knowing the exact setup, ide just wait n see if it drains.. if it does just put a diode on each feed.
just be carefull that the solenoids are rated for continual useThanks. The only electrical connection between the two batteries is a 200 amp relay. When the relay de-energises there is no connection at all. The alarm, interior light, stereo, work lights & spots all power directly from the 2nd battery so when the ignition turns off they have no way of drawing power from the starter battery.
Pulled a car outta a ditch this morning. Young lass slid on the ice on a bend outside camp site
