To do this one we started by using a gasket to mark the steel, drilled the holes for the block then bolted it up before cutting and tacking the inlet pipes on :)

Be more to come but probably after christmas now as I'm doing chassis work and he's got a few of his own bits to do

This would make an interesting thread in it's own right. Do you fancy doing that as I'd be interested in seeing it.

Thanks.

Theres a few pics on my 429 build thread I'll copy it over

I've done nothing to mine.

The fan belt I ordered on the 10th, and that was coming by 24 hr courier, still isn't here yet.:mad::mad:

I did order a new rocker cover gasket and idler pulley bearing to repair the fubar'd idler pulley that I've just replaced though.

Fitted my inverse dislocation cones. Terrafirma ones being sold by a company on eBay for £35 as opposed to £58 from there direct store. Not too bad to fit, be even easier of they sent you enough nuts and bolts.

took the dash to pieces to fix the wipers on my 90.

Now i've got an assortment of screws (including brass wood screws) nuts, bolts and washers which i've gotta try and figga out where they go...

Wiper work thou. :D

I've done a couple of tiny jobs on mine that I've been intending to do for a while. I put some rivnut captive nuts in to bolt my cubby box down with, as the original ones weren't in the right place and I've put some in to hold the seatbox centre hatch down too as it was held in by self tapping screws into spring clip nuts previously. Now the whole thing is firm enough for people to use it as a handle to lever themselves into the vehicle, which they tend to do. Also adjusted my handbrake now that he new mechanism has had a chance to bed in. The handbrake is on with the Land Rover official manual recommended three clicks now. Tomorrow I might have a look at a small oil leak in the engine bay which I think is coming from the rear of the rocker cover. I'll take it off and stick it all down with gasket sealant.

Attempted change the front shocks and springs yesterday but gave up because I didn't have the grinder  so went along some local lanes after the last few days of rain there all a bit sloppy. Glad I bought new tyres already.
