Took her for MOT

failed..... ****.

it needs:
Hand brake adjusting
front break pads replacing
towing electric socket re mounting (was hanging of the wire)

and the one im stuck on, rear suspension arm rubber bush. Now I guess thats part of the A frame, on one of the upper links.

Can anyone tell me what the name of the bushes I am lookin for are called.... and if they are easy to fit?

thaaaank you :D

Why dont yu ask the MOT tester. they are usually quite helpful.

Minor fettling ... including removing the large, unwieldy hook off the winch rope and re-splicing it for a smaller 'faster' hook, which incidentally is of a marked heavier lifting capacity!!

Got an mot, she only needed a bit of welding fuse change, couple of lights in the dash changing, two track rod ends, steering ball joint, front prop (uj had damaged the cup) and the hand brake needed adjusting. Maybe I need to keep ontop of the maintenance work....

Sat looking at it,
too hot to do much today so start sanding it off tomorrow:)

installed the MK4 DVD unit, Plugged in the new AllComms and played with that for a while and cleared the faults that the tyre people caused the other day!

looking good pete.better get it finished asap.lots of rain on the way.

No problem John, plenty of work to get done on it before the top coat of paint and most of the panels are finished so maybe only have to paint 25% of it again.
Been advised on black silk paint for roof although I prefer the all blue look.

Anyway, put all lights back on today and fixed indicator problem ( crap wiring ) so all working crisp and as it should except rear fog and reverse which I will sort on rainy day:)

Quite pleased with it and managed to get it so as the paint isn't too shiny which in my opinion spoils the look of an old landy.
Can always lacquer it later if required but nice as it is.

Got little rear windows to put back in and swap rear door and refurb spare doors ready to fit as well so loads to do but it has to work so putting it back to road worthiness for now.:D

Checked my headlights and yup one isn't working! Attempted to take it off, got scared I might brake it :confused:so came back on here to check busters guide....now I am off to have another go:D
