Haha, nah... I cleaned off all the rough casting on the block etc and the paint is a good sealer and helps the flow of oil back to the sump, it has good insulating properties too so reduces the temps of the block and heat on external parts of the engine as also reduces the possibility of porous areas in the casting.
All pretty much irrelevant on an offroader other than maybe the oil draining back to the sump a fraction of a second quicker after I get put back on my wheels after being upside down... But every little helps and all that
