What have you done to your Freelander today

Fitted a new throttle body and did the air flow calibration, before it went into the garage to have a replacement rear diff (from Bell Engineering) fitted.

Massive difference to how it drives now, so much smoother and lot less noise.
Did you feel any difference after the air path calibration? I did when I did mine, but sometimes these things have a placebo effect.
 
Did you need a hand? I know the job is easier with 2 people holding the prop up.
Just about managed it okay with some extra axle stands borrowed from a neighbour. When I did it some years ago I managed to remove and refit on my own and recall that the removal was okay but refitting was a bit awkward on my lonesome.

*edit* I do have one little job I really could do with your help with though.....

Twas the day for my fleet to test my patience today.
Whilst out in the Sport a van passed me and I thought " wow his brakes smell hot". After he had passed for some while I could still smell it. Stopped and drivers side front wheel was a tad on the boiling side. I guess that is the side effects of low mileage and then high usage.

Not to worry I thinks, use the G4. Started and reversed out, thought the steering feels heavy and oh look the battery light is on. Stopped and looked. Belt good, bottom crank pulley at strange angle and bolt undone by an inch !!

Now it had a cam belt done just before I got it. Anyway, popped belts off, took pulley off and the keyway on the crank sprocket had put a nice counterbore in the back of the pulley destroying the keyway. Fortunately my spares shop in the barn was open on Sunday and refitted with loctite and many kgf of tightness.

The old faithful TD4 is having a rest on SORN while I work out what to do with it so no cars left to drive this morning until pulley on the G4 and spare caliper fitted to the sport.

They know how to test your patience, luckily I had a couple of spare hours this afternoon and all good again.
 
Put the bottom guard on with stainless bolts and screws
Cleaned the fuel rail sensor had a fiddle with the knocking exhaust 😩

I delivered a 4m bamboo bundle last week
The old lad had been waiting for a week 🙄 I didn’t have the heart to return them so i put them on the roof of the van with a strap though both side doors his face was priceless he thought 4m was 4ft so he didn’t want them😡🤣 😡😩🤣😡I had to drive around all day with them on the roof so i think i am back in with karma 🤣

lol, its just as well they are our hobbies as well as transportation.
 
Took the F2 up the hardware store, then the F1 up the park to walk the dog.

Spotted this 2002 beauty, so had to park next to it...

I can't say I've never seen an F1 up there before in the 20 years we've been going there, but wouldn't have seen many if I have.
 
Loaded the dog into it and took her for a drive and nice walk - let her have a long swim in the lake too.
Knackered dog, and knackered me!
