took it for an mot which it promptly failed. bastid.

fuel leak from fuel pump in wheelarch (quite bad apparently, but I'd not noticed, might explain the poor mpg though !)

mounting bracket on rear silencer corroded away (but silencer is good, so they're going to weld a new bracket on)

advisory that front discs need replacing, but pads ok.

Oh the joy, all this 'cos I've been looking at new vans for work. So she's had a bit of a tantrum cos I was tempting fate.

Still, all be done Thursday (fingers crossed)

Finally fixed the white smoke on start up (TD4). Had previously changed the glow plugs, (found one open circuit) and checked all the wiring and connectors up to the relay all OK, today changed the relay, fired up from cold NO SMOKE. I think that when the glow plug went, it short circuited, which blew the relay contact rather than the 100 amp link 6 fuse but the dash light still came on which I thought meant the glow plugs were heating, seemingly not.

Drove it over a mountain! :) clutch took a bit of a hammering tho!

Anybody know what's the best clutch to put on a 1.8? Something a bit heavy duty if 1 exists? Lol

I'm a numpty ...bought a long aerial connector to fit onto the original short connector so as to fit my new cd player ...then realised the original short connector is indeed an adapter itself and so I was fitting an adapter onto an adapter to change it to what it was to start with :):D

gave it a pressure wash .. ( wanted to get rid of winter road salt underneath ) ..
went to lock it and the tailgate latch-lock refused to work ..
window went up 'n down ok .. searched LZ .. found a similar occurence ..
ended up dismantling the tailgate trim 'n spraying all the electrics with wd40 ..
problem solved :)
