What have you done to your Freelander today

Well all week in between rain showers/storms I’ve been replacing various filters and cleaning the EGR valve.
Did the fuel filter yesterday (interesting), and now I’ve got a noise from that area when moving. So that’s me sorted tomorrow. Today I buffed my headlights:

My first attempt. Quite pleased with the results.

Went shopping today with my loverly lady.. :(. I hate shopping. Stood in the carpark and examined the rear wiper arm; damn thing is broken down by the rotation shaft! Now I know why it didn't rotate properly :(

Went shopping later online for a new arm and blade. I love shopping.

Butter is 11690€ / tonne...:eek::eek: JFW, how can anyone afford to run a FL??:(

I'd rather give up butter than driving my Freelander!
Diesel has dropped by a whole 10 Pence per litre, so my last top up was at £1.79 per litre. £50 didn't even give me ½ a tank though, and the estimated range showed as 180 miles, which isn't much really. :(

Changed the oils in the IRD and gearbox today. What a horrible job. Definitely not my idea of a good time. I was under the impression that the drain/fill plugs were to be torqued to 35Nm. Well I had to get impact machine out for one!
Glad I don’t have to do that as often as the engine.
Diff left to do. My fill plug has a square not hex ‘indent’. Is that right?
Cheers,
M.

12V battery that came with my FL1 started to show age in cold starts, so got a new battery. Exide 95 Ah 760 CCA fit nicely there.
