Well, I was asking about the screen washers, but mist watering the salad garden in the boot could work. Just set up a washer pump to pull the water from the lowest part of the in-car paddling pool. Sorted.
From what I've found when searching, it's possible that Citroen Xsara mist nozzles might fit. I may order some ebay cheapies and see what they're like.

Nice neat solution fitted on my arb following a couple of good posts I read on here...

Yes it stops it moving sideways. The original had collars mounted in that location, but they rot off !!!
Mine actually moved sideways and touched a strut one side. There is only about 1/2 inch each side so it is a critical component.

Ordered the following mist nozzles, not the cheapest, but they had new seals with these ones. Similar ones using the same part number were claiming to be an upgrade for MG Rover original nozzles. Other ones were mentioning Fiat compatibility. I'll let you know how it works out, they are estimating delivery by the 1st of the month.
The part numbers to look for seem to be: Reference OE/OEM Number: 6438V8, 6438.V8
The listing I used was: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Nice one Paul. Let us know what they're like.

lost a bolt from rear brake caliper causing it to scrape on the wheel when I braked. don't know how it came loose
but nearly s**t myself when I heard loud scraping coming from the back end.:( could have been a lot worse.
then to top it off my bottom engine mount has split:mad:.

Well, I fitted the new mist nozzles, they are about double the size of the old ones but they fit with no problems. Changing them out was very easy. I'm not greatly impressed at the moment as they hit too far down the screen for my liking. I'd rather they hit a little higher, but it is nothing major. It's not enough of an improvement to be an essential upgrade, but it isn't a bad one. Time to upload a little bit of video I took, if it turned out okay.
Edit. I had to mute a couple of sections due to copyright over-reach, The radio played about ten seconds of music in the background.

These ones are plastic moulded, without the metal swivel inserts. I'm going to look closer, but I dont think they are aimable. It's only a minor thing, and it may improve at road speeds.

That looks promising, but I agree it aims too low, and I think it would get worse with speed. I do however thin you might be able to adjust them... :)

I've enhanced that close up of you, and I think I can see the misting nozzle as separate parts.

Really illuminating the heck out of it now, you can see the shaddowy boundary and the nozzle aperture.

So I'd reckon that a prod with a small flat screwdriver point slightly upwards along the yello dashed line...

would move the aim upwards and give you something like:

Where you can see I've photoshopped the nozzle to be much further up...

It was raining, and I was in a t-shirt, so I just poked a little with a utility knife. No joy, that time. When it's dry and I try again, if it doesn't work, then I'll likely just shim the front end a little higher. Or look at carving an angle on them. They aren't useless at 30 or even 50, but at 70 they start to get a little bit pathetic.

I've got a pair of BMW heated mist jets for mine, which I've been meaning to fit for years.

I might get round to it one day.

I would imagine they are adjustable but maybe the travel isn't that suitable for the freelander due to the bonnet angle. I might just wait until things are a bit more normal and pop down to the scrappy.
