It's the only result I'd accept.Thats a result though. lovely jubly.
This weekend if I can. Having just loaned the eldest daughter the money to buy a car I could do with recouping some beer tokens. When you putting it on the market?

I tried, but the seller would only give me £300 for the FL1, so I suggested he kept that price to himself. You should have done her a deal on the 1.8
I meant you should have sold the FL to your daughter lolI tried, but the seller would only give me £300 for the FL1, so I suggested he kept that price to himself.

When both on my kids were after their first car I tried to steer them to Freelanders.I meant you should have sold the FL to your daughter lol
One of the few benefits of getting older, cheaper insuranceAh I see. She only passed her driving test on the 20th of last month, so her insurance quote for the FL1 was £4800!!
So I paid for a Fiat 500 instead, which still costs her, well me at the moment £1000 a year to insure.
Bizarrely I insured the 1.8 for £170, as a new policy with no zero claims. Mad init.
Have you checked out Admiral multi-car for you and her. We saved a heap going that way.Ah I see. She only passed her driving test on the 20th of last month, so her insurance quote for the FL1 was £4800!!

Son said "nah" and got himself a 220 Tomcat instead, although he did then think about a Freelander before he got a Beemer.
Daughter just gave me that "are you an alien?" look
Thanks.Glad to hear of the successful onclusion to operation Tonga.
Lovely looking cars, we loved ours. They weren't actually very strong vehicles though, as the large hole in the roof seriously affected body rigidity. If you jack up a front wheel, the body will visibly twist, causing the doors to stick, as the door aperture changed shape. We sold ours when no 1 daughter came along, replacing it with a new MG ZS180, which was a stunning vehicle to drive. I still miss that car, even though it was a love/hate relationship at the time. The rover coupes are still achingly cool cars.
Tried that. They gave us a laughable quote for her car. The insurance companies simply don't like new drivers. Her insurance for her Fiat 500 1.2 is just under £1000, but has to have a mileage limit, and a black box fitted. Any policy without a black box costs over £2000, on a car that I can insure myself for just over £100.Have you checked out Admiral multi-car for you and her.
I remember when my daughter got her first car she was 17 and had L plates. We got a reasonable quote at the time from Compare the Market but when she passed her test we informed them and they more than doubled the price. It was cheaper for us to cancel the policy, pay the penalty and shop around for another quote than stay with them.Tried that. They gave us a laughable quote for her car. Be sure to add yourself and wife as named drivers on her car as this will lower the price by a lot.
There are additional driving courses your daughter can do that reduce the premium, things like Pass PLus, Institute of Advanced Motorists etc.
LOL, good luck with that one.It is something we've looked into. However convincing No 1 daughter that more tests are good, didn't go down to well.
Present it not as another test of her skills but as a test to prove to others that she is better than other new ( and many older ) drivers. Present it as a challenge for her to do.it well.LOL, good luck with that one.
