What have you done to your Freelander today

:D Just trying to save the seat so now I can lift myself in/out and stop scraping it

That and I might've not noticed the blanking plates have two different sized pins the first time I pulled the roof down, so when I went to put it back there was a bit of a crack

Have you seen the state of London's roads? LOL ;)

Ha! Not just London, is it? Bristol no better. Nice roads in Wales for the most part :p Thanks EU.
I swear local councils have decided there's no point maintaining roads properly because people are driving around in more capable vehicles. I blame the footballers and their Chelsea tractors. Or the Freelander :D

I've flipped the sunroof switch upside down so that when I press "up" the sunroof will go up, instead of "closing"

That's a blummin good idea. I've always thought it felt counter intuitive. I'll be doing mine tomorrow morning!

Found a couple of non challenging green lanes on my way to ride the mountain bike over Dartmoor, just a few deepish dry ruts to scrape the underside. Did find a scratchy lane with slate bottom which should be a good challenge fun when winter sets in. (All legal lanes..)
Whilst I'm in between Defenders at the moment, the FL2 has really grown on me and for what I use it for, it's a perfect choice. Will undoubtedly have another 90 at some point for sure...a couple of snaps below 'cos we do like pics on LZ

Finished the back to black by painting the bit under the wipers and the boot door, but not the lettering because I'm a coward

And I'm now the proud owner of a dog cage that doesn't wobble at 60mph+ and a boot mat

I love Dartmoor.

I've never taken the freelander there though, maybe I should, once it's fixed, again.

Discovered my auto boxe fault had returned, with a vengeance this time. It was hot after spending 45 minutes in traffic through Newquay. Then out the blue, the box started selecting 2nd when changing up to 4th. Eventually it slammed in and F4 flashed up on the dash. From then on I could drive it fine, only in 4th. But it got me to my bike ride on the Camel Trail. Oddly it behaved perfectly on the way home. Looks like I'm pulling the bloody thing apart at some point.

On the bright side, it'll make a great video though. o_O

You should, the byway I drove is about 1.5 miles long, probably quite interesting in winter when wet, it's great on my motorbike for sure.
Plenty of other cracking lanes in the locality, both challenging and not so. Nice to be out there on a glorious day. I'll look for a FL friendly route in the near future if anyone's up for it.

Hit the max height barrier with the roof rails at the tip as i attempted to drive under it. Got through. Will use the truck gate next time.

How low are those rails then? The FL1 isn't that high off the ground is it. That's just silly, and a danger to a taller person walking under the barrier too.

It was converted to a FL2 a while ago. Having said that the FL1 rails were close previously. I think the sign said 1.7m but you never know if that is the max height or they give a bit extra. There was a rubber lower section along the lower part of the height restriction i think. Will have a look on the dash cam later.

Edit: 1.7m

A FL2:eek:. I must have missed that, unless you kept it quiet from us FL1 purists.:D
Thinking about it 1.73m is low. Must be wrong. I will check.

Not hidden, its all on ere somewhere. As with tratters being taken apart and rebuilt into an upgraded vehicle... I took ma hippo apart then rebuilt it with FL2 parts. So it's the same trusted dependable go anywhere vehicle, with a lot of replacement parts which make it look different, even though its got the same soul as it did before. ;)

Edit: it is 1.7m but they will lift the barrier on the next gate as its a passenger car.
