Dropped it off this morning for MOT @11am also asked em to stick it on their code reader while its in there, an extra 25 quid +VAT but hopefully I should get some indication ( if it connects) as to whats causing the misfires!

Im hoping they give me the codes didn't ask them to fix it just let me know the codes

The father in law ( ex truck mechanic) seems to think it could be fuel pressure sensors as it's doing same thing as his tranny van did so it could be that loom too

well 45 mins and counting , lol

would also drive me nuts , easier if it's a straight forward breakdown instead of these intermittent faults

useto drive me nuts when i worked on boiler faults that were not always there

Yeah agreed used to hate dealing with intermittent faults at ford

Id rather it be something that's physically failed that i can see that electrics anyday of the week, electrics are definitely a dark art
 
Had the 235/70X16 General Grabbers installed today. The Hippo looks great with the beefy rubber.
It tracks nicely, and the tyres are not too noisy on the highway.
I'm going to have to hook up the sat-nav to see how much the speedo is out but it looks to be about 10% off which I can live with.

That reminds me of a British crime series. Sorry, cannot remember the name, my brain is like a LR - it leaks.

Anyway, the Chief Super pulls up in his Rover (I think) and stops on the no parking area in front of the station. A keen young constable sprints up and offers to park the car. The Chief Super says "It is parked, laddie".

Always wanted to say that, but never had the chance.

The injector loom is separated from the others. This is done to prevent high voltage interference, upsetting the more sensitive sensor signals.

Most face lift Freelander speedometers over read by around 10%, so you might well be ok.

Im on about the rail sensor loom , I know the injector loom is separate and might get one of those for good measure as well to rule anything else out
though I thought it was the pressure sensor on the pump that had the replaceable loom and not the one on the rail or am I getting confused?
 
My new gear shift gaitor cover arrived from eBay. The original one wasn't in great shape. Had to use a bit of glue but should be good for another 100,000 miles now :)

Hi Rich,
That is the best looking wheel / tyre combo I have ever seen on a freelander. ! nice one. Looks perfect.
Might have to find me some 16" rims now..

Really is THE best looking setup - By far - AND it is practical.

Edit - Also Rich - are they the AT2 ?? - they look like it. - Am just getting a price for some 16" rims sent over here....:D
