Just re-tumbled the door lock....No more wiggling the key for five minutes to lock/ unlock it
keep yo jump leads connected for when you flatten the battery.Adding a voltmeter - straight from the battery (via a fuse) so that if car plays up I can instantly see if it is battery or a high resistance lead / contact somewhere !
These are cheap, cool (I think) and fit in the blanked hole on RHS of steering column (opposite side to headlight leveller). Photo when done, but here is link

Did exactly the same - loadsa black smoke and loss of power after manifold clean and EGR bypass fitted - shat myself - thought I'd buggered something - returned home and found the hose blown off the EGR bypass - Whew!![QUOTE=".
Wife didn't see me go on the test run, well she couldn't see me for the black smoke, realised I hadn't tightened the hose onto the EGR valve.
Test run 2 seamed to go OK.

I found 50/50 cellulose thinner and paraffin in the compressed air squirter thingy that came with my compressor was very effective on the manifold clean - alternating that with power washer got it sparkling inside.
Looked at it longingly, as I walked past and got into the Transit to go to work. God I need a day off

Go for it, watch the video on Youtube and see how easy it should be then do it yourself and take 30 mins where he takes 5.Fit a new window regulator, might get a repair kit, wire and plastic bits, and see how easy they are to fix.
