Swore at it, disconnected the battery removed the gearbox ECU left for an hour and no change in behavior. Read about how to examine solenoids on here and have had a look. The bits are going to come off once I have priced up parts and had confirmation from some one that has done this. Please help!!!

Fitted replacement HG [Payen BW750] fitted head and reassembled motor... Started 1st pop! All looking gooood! :)

Fingers cross :) Hope it works well for you this time.

I got back from another overnight in Twizel yesterday evening. The Freelander performed fantastically again - and I had to give it a bit of wellie on the way down there as well. We were running late and my son wanted to stop off at Hunting & Fishing in Ashburton - with a deadline of 7PM for the reception closing at the High Country Lodge. Pulled up at 6:57PM :)

Another glorious day in MacKenzie Country. Sunrise in Twizel was fantastic....

finally fitted my S/S back box, old bolt didn't want to play ball so cut it off. old box not as badly rusted as I feared. new box went on no problem. tucks up out of the way.

Fitted my h&r wheel spacers to the wife's hse. Showed the wife and 6 year old daughter how to change front pads and disks. The little one likes helping me and getting her hands dirty and apart from strength issues is actually quite helpfull

Moved the drivers window switch back to its existing place on the handbrake console.
Ioved it to under the heater dials as it felt more comfortable to use there but then I realised I couldn't raise both windows at the same time with one hand!
So I've put it back where it was!!

It's easy halfords satin black couple of cans
Rub over with some scotch pads and quick wipe with some thinners, I just used some shaped card as a guard for over spray and the tcut and polish after
