Replaced the knackerd solenoid plunger and contacts, refitted the starter motor, battery tray & battery. Changed and synced the battery in the remote fob.

The boxes were piling up in the garage so I decided to make a temporary light bar out of an old roof bar.
Think the wire will end up going down the aerial hole in the end.

Booked it on the laning trip with LRM next saturday 
I did my first Ever big job on my Freelander. I replaced the fly Wheel and clutch complete. This is the first time I have ever done anything like this. Very very scary but I have finished. It appears to be working fine. Followed a few UTube demos and had my Haines book to hand. I had to do it by myself but was ably to borrow a jack and axle stands. It is the most difficult job I have ever done oh boy I am Buzzing.
not sure how long it will take me to clean off the dirt and grime I have managed to get covered in.

I never take mine to a garage now other than for mot!

I removed the cover on my rear diff, cleaned to within an inch of its life, put new gasket sealant on it & refitted.
Just looking to see if I've got the correct oil for it now! Perhaps I should have checked that before!!

swapped the back box, replaced front wiper motor, and found that its my water pump leaking so bought timing belt kit and new water pump..

I changed my rear diff oil.
What a pain to do.
Had it on ramps at the rear so when I removed the drain plug nothing came out, except the sludge & metal shavings stuck to the plug!
Removed all the bolts holding the rear plate on & drained all the oil out.
Cleaned everything up & refilled, had to wedge the bottle between the wheel arch and the tyre & used a radiator filling cap for putting central heating inhibitor into a system, to attach a hose to the drain hole and slowly fill up!
It went a little quicker when I made an air hole in the top (bottom) of the inverted bottle!
Rave cd said max 830ml, pretty sure I've got enough oil in there.
