Mine returned today, injector fixed and running like a dream - for now, and then waved the rally Freelander goodbye on the same recovery truck. Nothing serious, just MOT and a little fettling.
Had tracking checked, front & rear after replacing track rod ends both sides. I knew the tracking was slightly out because the steering wheel angle had moved slightly since they were fitted. This was despite fitting the new ones the same number of turns as the old ones that came off. The old ones had very little wear but I decided to change them whilst I was fitting new wishbones and ARB links (Lemforder)...not LR (TRW) crap
I used the Freelander for work today as the Vivaro is still sulking on the driveway with a fuel problem.
Have been pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to work from. Nice high boot so no stooping to get tools out, swallows a lot of equipment too including a shower tray, 9 square meters of tiles, 4 tubs of tile adhesive, all my tools and most importantly 2 thermos flasks of coffee!
Can actually get 3m lengths of material inside the car too, which is nice
How ist das possible? 2.40m is the longest i can get in the car with with the front seat folded.
Lengths of flat bar or small box section or thin timber, near side corner of windscreen to the back corner, just under 3m
i thought that was what the rear window was supposed to open for?? I've had allsorts poking out of mine when the freelander ends up a bit short!
I gotta do that with mine sometime when I can be bothered. For now I just lightly push the window as I push the door shut.
