Nice shed...

Wish you hadn't mentioned V8's. I was looking at 90 V8's over the weekend and am getting the urge for a V8 Landy. Thinking a pre-1991 V8 carefully modified/correctly set up would make an amazing rally bus. One rally I've yet to do is the LEJoG. LEJoG in a 3.5ltr 90 would be huge fun.
Go on you know you want to….if the S1 2ltr can do it so can you. Get saving for warm weather gear as it’s in December ;)

mine LR was originally a V8

Just finished treating the chassis inside and out with Lanoguard. It’s very easy to apply and when dry, leaves a waxy surface that’s a matt finish.
Hopefully it’ll protect as good as it smells.

Hi Phil, I shouldn't be thinking of this as have too much other life stuff going on...but, there's always a but, my V8 Land Rover itch needs scratching. I've competed in a good number of CRA/HERO events since late 90's but yet to do LE JOG...and want/need to get back into classic rallying. It doesn't help as have also been watching Bowler type 90's getting BIG AIR + I've got mechaporn urges for a V8 90 with period colour coded Evo DakarCorse alloys  Imagine a 3.5ltr Ninety soft top military with Series headlight surrounds, many eligible Gwyn Lewis HD goodies, external 6pt cage and both body and wheels painted in an old skool colour, ala Bahama Gold/Sandstone/Limestone, or even with Limestone wheels. I guess a lightened version of what I have now...but with a V8

It's all just an acorn of an idea at the moment...but I know what happens with my acorn ideas, I suddenly find myself in Marakesh, Santiago, Monte Carlo or Timbuktu o_O

When I finish mine I might cross the river and go along the beach :)

Atlas mountains...? If so, they're fantastic. Have even crossed the Atlas in a Peugeot 504 saloon in North African Taxi white. It was a great trip and these old Pugs are tough as nails. Two residing memories are 1. a village boy darted out in front of the car on his bicycle and disappeared under the car [!] I thought he was a goner. Then this little head popped up in front of the bonnet quickly followed by his father rushing out, grabbing the son and started beating him :( I had to stop/calm down the father and make sure the little boy was okay. 2. I had the ex-MiL in the back seat bemoaning my driving style from the moment we left Marrakesh  Once off main roads and in the mountains proper it was GLF...she soon piped down

Supposed to be first day back on site to too cold to lay anything , first bit snow in geordie land this year ! door locks froze this morning but deisel heater working a treat and paying its way , landy blow heater fan needed a bang on the box to set it away ... Happy New Year Chaps and Chappesses

I bought two new G grade switches just in case. Interestingly, even the G grade units are made in Taiwan :(

I've had nos stalks in the centreconsul / cubby box since we bought the Nionety ~ 2 years ago, I'm just too lazy to fit them:D:oops::rolleyes:
