Had access to a two-post lift this evening so was able to remove and replace a leaking core plug.
Drivers side, middle one by the engine mount. Managed to do it all without removing downpipes or mounts or steering bits.
Got the new one in but it started leaking on refill and noticed it was a tad too much in on one side. Whipped it out and tried with a another one and AOK.
Refilled, got to temp, checked levels, went for a drive and so far no drips.

The old one with a rust hole at 6 o/c

Just bought rear suspension "A Frame Bracket & Ball Joint Kit" to fix that knock from rear when setting off! Hope the weather clears to let me fit on drive and fingers crossed the set off knock disappears!

Haven't done anything to it today other than drive it.
So half an hour trip to a mates who is helping me with some typical French bureaucracy because I really do need a responsible adult with me when it comes to on line form filling. Took everything that could possibly be needed to be scanned into the forms ( requesting a froggy driving licence ) and after a lot of faffing about found I needed my birth cert. This on top of my passport/froggy id card/UK licence.:(:(
An hour later I return with my birth cert, and we carry on form filling for another hour and a half, the website keeps throwing up difficulties, and at last it is done and in the system. :):)
Return home and the doris said "didn't you get the phone call" They tried to call me to say I had left my laptop there, but of course being a noisy old tratter, and the radio belting out Hotel California, I hadn't heard the phone. So another hour on the road to pick it up.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: severely peed off now. I really can't be trusted with the simplest of tasks these days......................I blame it on the weather............or the dog..

Fitted 4 Flatdog roof bars. Seem decent quality. I'm glad I got them now instead of the full rack... also fitted a steering guard, winch bumper and have rock sliders and rear nas bumper to be cleaned up before fitting. :D

ordered one of those tonneau covers on fleabay for the back of the pickup , the seller suggests they are good quality and makes them from order, you have to send a few picks, size of the bed and spacings of the holding points , ordered yesterday and had a message today saying it will be here Monday so a quick turnaround , hopefully it's of decent quality but for under 200 quid you can't expect too much

Been out for a pre Mot trundle, it hadn’t moved for 3 weeks - Holiday, Illness, work etc. Starts 1st hit, pulls like a train, sounds like one as well! I still can’t get used to the loud whistle from the turbo on this 300tdi, no obvious leaks and not down on power - sounds like a Deltic hauling coal up shap fell!

Everything is working as it should now, but expecting a MOT fail on either drop link split gaiter, or the perished AFrame ball joint rubber, or the steering box fluid leak……or another random unknown, or all of the above!

I’ll let y’all know on Friday!

Do they make much of a difference to the performance? I have not run one before but this winter, now the 90 is my daily driver, I might try one out ;)
If you notice I don’t cover the intercooler ;)
Makes the engine warm up a lot quicker meaning better heater.

also for you look at putting a curtain up behind you so you only have to warm up a smaller cab area

Cheers! I will give that a go. The heater worked ok yesterday but it wasn't that cold. I can see when it gets frosty that I will be wearing gloves and a scarf!

Roller blind, cheap and easily installed/removed even have a cutout for rear view if you like.

Now then..…floral, stripes, geometric? World is your lobster!

I cant wait for a good thick frost so I can put this Chinese heater to the test lol ,, I've still not had chance to fit the tonneau cover yet as Mrs Moremuckmush has me decorating the gaff, there's always a price to pay when she thinks I'm giving the ole green girl to much attention
